The UP CM announced that his government would construct 16 gaushalas in 16 municipal corporations where products, like gomutra (cow urine) and gobar (cow dung) and milk, will be promoted.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has said that his government was committed to establishing the rule of law in the state and would not allow the lawlessness that was prevalent during the previous regime.
He was speaking at an election meeting in Aligarh on Sunday.
He also said that his government had given a boost to Aligarh’s traditional lock industry.
“One of the first decisions of the government was to promote the locks made in Aligarh. It was decided that locks will be put on illegal abattoirs in the state… This will definitely help in rejuvenating the lock industry,” the chief minister added.
He said, “Illegal slaughterhouses were being run for several years and the NGT had directed the government to close them down.” He said the previous regime failed to take action against them but his “government shut them down in 24 hours after coming to power.”
