While addressing party workers at the VGP beach resort on Monday, the BJP chief Amit Shah put forth the entire amount the Modi government has spent for the people of Tamil Nadu.
He also challenged the opposition to declare how much they spent for the people totalling it upto Rs 5.10 lakh crores.
Shah stated that whoever the BJP alligns with in 2019, their sole aim will be to remove corruption from the state of TN as it is one of the most corrupt states.
Shah was in Chennai on a day’s visit to strategise the 2019 general elections. He was greeted at the airport by Union Ministers Pon Radhakrishnan and other BJP leaders including Murlidhar Rao, H Raja and Tamilisai Soundarajan.
Party workers from across Tamil Nadu, Pudhucherry and Anadamn and Nicobar islands attended the party meeting. While addressing party workers Shah invoked Tamil pride, stating that it was only after the Modi government came into power that railway tickets are being printed in Tamil. He also said that Tamil language is something that if the BJP comes into power they will take the language beyond the boundaries of the state.
