Shocking: Haryana resident stabbed to death in Goa over argument on water bottle

In a shocking incident, a Haryana resident was stabbed to death at Calangute village in North Goa over an argument over a water bottle, police said on Tuesday. 31-year-old Manish Singh was allegedly stabbed to death by “history-sheeter” Krishna Belgaokar, who is a resident of Karnataka.

Police said that the accused has been absconding after committing the crime, news agency IANS reported.

 “The accused had gone to a shop to buy a mineral water bottle where he had a heated argument with the victim, followed by the stabbing,” Calangute police station in charge Inspector Jivba Dalvi told reporters. as per IANS.

The police have filed a First Information Report in connection with the incident and the accused has been booked under Indian Penal Code’s section 302 for murder. The weapon used to commit the murder – a knife-  has been seized, officials said.
