OnePlus 6T smartphones are now receiving the OxygenOS 5.0.6 software update and brings with it improvements to screen unlock, camera optimisations among others.
OxygenOS 5.0.6 based on Android 9.0 Pie is the latest software update available for OnePlus 6T users and will roll-out in the next couple of days. Since the launch of the OnePlus 6T late October/ early November, the smartphone has received updates to improve Screen Unlock and new camera modes such as Studio Lighting and Night Mode. The company recently launched a new colour variant of the OnePlus 6T in Thunder Purple and is available for purchase at Rs 41,999.
OxygenOS 9.0.6 for OnePlus 6T brings changes to the System and improves the unlocking experience; optimises standby power consumption and brings general bug fixes. With respect to the communication, the update brings fixes issues with adding APN on Verizon network. Morover, notification issues from Play Store are fixed. With respect to Camera fixes, there is now optimisation for image processing.

OxygenOS 5.0.6 for OnePlus 6T is a staged rollout and the OTA will be received by users in the next few days ensuring that there are no critical bugs. OnePlus further notes that using a VPN to download may not work as the rollout is not based on regions and is randomly pushed out to a limited number of devices.
