Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that statues of Saraswati and Rishi Bhardwaj will be installed in the fort constructed by Mughal emperor Akbar in Prayagraj (Allahabad).
Yogi said that this is the first time Akshay Vat and Saraswati Koop will be opened for worship during Kumbh and thereafter.
Addressing a gathering during the inauguration of Yuva Kumbh in Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath said,” This is the first time Akshay Vat and Saraswati Koop will be opened during the Kumbh Mela. Mughal emperor Akbar commissioned a fort there and that’s why people were not able to offer prayers there.”
The UP CM also said that the Kumbh Mela, scheduled to happen next year, will have the largest gathering of people. He said this is the first time that this event “has been recognised by the UNESCO as the biggest cultural event”.
All prominent saints will be participating in the Vaicharik Kumbh in Prayagraj (Allahabad).
Speaking on the Ram Temple issue, he said, “We (BJP) are the only party which will get Ram mandir constructed in Ayodhya. No one else can do it.”
Yogi made this statement after a group of people started raising slogans of “Mandir jo banayega vote usi ko jayega (Only those who build the Ram temple will get our vote)” while he was speaking.
