Modi government misusing Ram Mandir issue to create communal divide: Raj Thackeray

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray, during a press conference, has said that the BJP government is misusing the Ram Mandir issue to create divide among communities.

“Ram Mandir should be constructed but it should not be used for political mileage. Now four years have passed and again this ruling government is misusing Ram Mandir issue to create divide among communities.”

He also claimed that India has borrowed so much loan because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s adamant nature.

Talking about government’s inability to stop train accidents, he said, “Just for the adamant nature of PM Modi, India has borrowed so much for Bullet Train. At present government is not able to stop or control train accidents.”

He also said that the hyperloop capsule between Mumbai and Pune is also another gimmick by the Bharatiya Janata Party. “It is something that has not been tested anywhere in the world, but the BJP wants to do it over here,” Thackeray said.

While talking about NEET, he slammed the Maharashtra government for not taking any decision about the medical entrance test. He claimed “the government wants to give admissions to students from other states.”

Raj Thackeray warned the state government that if students from Maharashtra are not given first preference in NEET exam, the state will face MNS music.

During the press conference, he also spoke about how the MNS workers were “beaten black and blue and third degree was used on them just for protesting and agitating outside Mantralaya.” Thackeray said the BJP government should keep in mind that some other party can also come to power. “Will it be okay if your men are given third degree treatment after any such agitation?”
