In the wake of the #MeToo movement, many actresses have come out and shared their horrific experiences of sexual abuse and harassment.
From singer Chinmayi to actress Amala Paul, many well-known faces of K-Town have called out their alleged harassers.
Now, actress Sunainaa, who has acted in movies like Neerparavai and Theri, has shared her story of sexual abuse. The actress said that she was abused by her auto driver, who used to take her to school.
According to the actress, the auto driver used to make her sit next to him during rides and made her uncomfortable. For a while, she thought that that was a privilege.
Later, as she grew up, Sunainaa realised that she was being subjected to sexual abuse.
The Samar actress said that the abuse continued for years and it took her a while to realise what was happening.
“I never told about him to my parents. Now, I feel like holding him up by his collar and ask him why he did those despicable acts,” Sunainaa said.
The Tamil-Telugu actress is currently acting in a web series called Nila Nila Odi Vaa, which also has Ashwin Kakamanu of Mankatha fame. She is also playing a role in Dhanush’s Enai Noki Paayum Thota.
