The Hyderabad Police busted a sex racket in Telangana’s Yadadri Bhongri district on Tuesday.
The police rescued 11 minor girls from brothels they raided in the area and found that the girls were being injected with hormones so that they could mature early.
A team of local police and other officials arrested eight people from the Dommari community on suspicion of trafficking. The Dommari community has been traditionally involved in prostitution.

The suspects allegedly paid poor families sums of Rs 1-2 lakh per girl and also used to scout for young, sometimes orphaned, girls at railway stations.
Police have identified a medical professional who was allegedly providing the brothel owners with the hormonal medication for Rs 25,000 per injection.
The girls have been sent to a rescue home.
